I am Rio Yotto. Nearly 30 years of experience from a small rented room in Depok to large-scale digital systems across telecommunications, national media, public broadcasting, cyber security, and platforms managing millions of records.
“Technology that feels simple often requires expertise that is anything but simple.”
I build the systems behind the interface: architecture, databases, integrations, security, reliability, operational workflows, and accountability when things must keep working.
Development of a national news portal and digital ecosystem serving a large audience.
An audience interaction system that automatically received, validated, processed, and responded to messages.
A polling-station data pipeline via SMS for processing and live visualization on national television.
Strategic contribution to modernizing the digital portal of Indonesia’s public broadcasting institution.
A layered membership system spanning national to local levels, managing millions of records with high security requirements.
Property, e-commerce, legal management, regional news portals, and various other operational systems.
Products, media, services, and digital experiments I have built or developed together with teams.
WhatsApp API integration for messaging, notifications, and digital workflows.
Hosting and infrastructure services for websites and digital applications.
A media portal and digital content ecosystem with tens of thousands of articles.
A digital commerce project and platform for online business needs.
Automation experiments and projects: n8n, APIs, notifications, RSS, content workflows, and system integrations.
Practical notes, opinions, and lessons across technology topics. Articles can be a starting point for deeper learning through courses and free resources.
AI often gives the answer 'it depends' when we ask for help in making a choice. With the right prompt, AI can help map out criteria, trade-offs, risks, and trial steps without taking over our decision-making.

A full calendar doesn't necessarily mean work is progressing. With time blocking, we can allocate specific space for focus, administration, communication, and breaks without making the daily schedule feel like a prison.
Read article →Build With Rio is a learning space for people who truly want to understand technology, from beginners to practitioners. It goes beyond theory: learn how to think, build projects, handle errors, and take systems all the way to production.

The interface is only the surface. The value of a digital system also lives in the parts you do not see—but immediately notice when they are missing.
How personal data is protected, access is restricted, threats are anticipated, and technical decisions are made before problems happen.
How databases and system flows are designed so thousands of processes remain fast, consistent, and maintainable.
I use AI. It helps me work faster. But decisions, context, risk intuition, and nearly 30 years of experience do not come from a single prompt.
Finishing something quickly does not always mean it is easy. Speed is often the result of decades of learning, failing, building, and taking responsibility.
Tell me what you are trying to learn, build, automate, or solve.
