I am Rio Yotto. Nearly 30 years of experience from a small rented room in Depok to large-scale digital systems across telecommunications, national media, public broadcasting, cyber security, and platforms managing millions of records.
The internet was still slow, expensive, and unfamiliar. There were no YouTube tutorials and no AI. Linux, photocopied books, small forums, repeated errors, and curiosity became the foundation of this journey.
I began studying Computer Science in Depok, learned Linux and web development from scratch, and with friends from the boarding house helped start Deptech Digital using limited equipment, unstable connections, and a strong desire to build something useful.
A three-month internship became a full-time role before my thesis was finished. I experienced a major telecommunications transformation from the inside and learned what large-scale systems mean: one second of failure can affect thousands of people.
I contributed to metrotvnews.com and built the Metro TV SMS 6876 system, processing large-scale audience interaction continuously and automatically with high reliability requirements.
Data from thousands of polling stations arrived through SMS, was validated, processed, and visualized live with the Metro TV graphics team on national television—an environment with no room for failure.
At iClick Media I built dozens of websites for different companies and learned international standards for quality, client expectations, and delivery discipline.
I led a team at an official Kaspersky distributor for the Indonesian market, designed security solutions, presented on digital threats, and attended training in Malaysia.
I served as an expert advisor to the Technical Director of RRI for digital portal redesign, then built digital membership systems for Partai NasDem and various cross-sector platforms. The journey continues.
